NEW LIFE OF MOM

So, there we were after all the chaos happened in the planning.. we finally started our road trip from Jaipur to Ranthambore on December 17, 2011. Our Party gang included: Kritika Jain (Me) Srividya Dwivedi (Our NRI) Aastha Khanijo (Girl Friend) Ayush Mittal (Boy Friend) Dinesh Moolrajani (Guitarist 1) Aman Jain (Brother 1) Pranav Sethi (Brother 2) Shreyan Dwivedi (Party Boy) Rishabh Bhutra (The Delhi Boy) Vishal Hirawat (Rockstar) Ronny Pedersen (Foreigner- Norwegian) Per Øyvind Fosse- (Foreigner- Norwegian) Even though we planned our stay at a hotel in advance, but after reaching that place we all felt cheated. The pictures they had put on their website were nothing like the actual hotel. So, we left that place and started searching a new one. As we all had a limited budget, we had to limit ourselves also. So after all the run we decided to stay at Ankur Resort a pretty much decent place to stay and specially the rooms we got were just in front of a big lush garden. We got a bargain

Few days back I was at a local fair, which promotes women entrepreneurs. They had some amazing stuff. I couldn't stop myself from buying.. At last I had to go back because my wallet was empty, but I still managed to take their visiting cards to visit them later. Few wonderful things I managed to buy were earrings, a sandals, a bag, few stoles, 2 jackets, candles, show pieces. Posting few pictures. One amazing thing I found there was Sweet leaf, As per that lady, if a diabetic person eats that one leaf daily, his sugar levels are under control within few days. They also had a packet of dried leaves for putting in tea and coffee. And a powder which can be used in making sweets and desserts. Doesn't this feel like a boom for the diabetic people? But wait, Before believing in them, I went to meet a Ayurvedic Doctor. He has well known in not only my city but across the globe. I told him about the plant I saw there. This is me with Pratham Books again.. Recently I have joined Blogadda, and on the homepage I saw "blog about a NGO." and that very moment I started searching if they are featuring Pratham or Pratham books. After searching few pages I found Pratham books listed there and my smile grew wider. After working with Teach India, I started working with Pratham. My very first job just after my college. I have learnt so much from this organization. Infact on my very first entry I wrote on Pratham and my learning there. My first full time interaction with Pratham books was in Jaipur Literature Festival 2011. I handled the Pratham Books stall there. And I was so fascinated by those books. Whenever I was free at the festival I used to start reading the books. I used to gather small children from around and used to read out stories to them. I so wished to read such stories in my childhood. Now I make sure all kids in my house do read those books. I always gift those books to them on their

I love my ma.. Who doesn't? This valentine week, I am celebrating with my sweet cute loving mom. Today on Rose Day, I gave a rose from my garden to her, and my Dad got jealous.. he then got a big bouquet and presented to her. I loved and enjoyed his jealousy. I am soo happy and feeling amazing. Tomorrow is my parent's 27th Wedding Anniversary. I wish them my best wishes and may they get lot of happiness in their life. And love between them keeps on growing.. Happy Anniversary to my most adorable couple. They love, they fight, they care, they share, they get envy and yet they can't live without each other. My dad keeps asking mom to go and live with her mom for 2 months, and if she does it then he'll get her choice of diamond set.. this he is saying from last 22 years and she got no diamond set for this.. I'm planning for making breakfast date for them tomorrow.. Abhinav gave me this idea.. I hope mom dad also likes it.. Love you soooo much.

I have been chasing them all the way since time immemorial. For you it can be a simple chase but for me, it is a stark snatch. Yes, they always take away my mast. I came to bed with a heavy head, Thinking of how will be the road ahead Will it be filled with cheer or will it be struggle for years I kept wobbling into my thoughts, and suddenly got a dream in front of my sight. So finally the weekend is here.. I anxiously wait for Friday so much, and I am sure everyone else also. There is something very special about Friday and Saturday. So, What is the plan for tonight? I will share one of my fav. recipe with all of you. Its not something unique for Indians, specially North Indians but I have given it my own twist. This is Rajma-Chawal or you can say it Kidney Beans with Gravy and Rice. 3/4 cup rajma (kidney beans) 1/4 cup whole urad dal (black gram) 1 1/2 cups steamed basmati chawal (Rice) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) 1 small stick of dalchini (cinnamon stick) 1-2 bay leaves 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 tbsp finely chopped ginger 1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic 1 to 2 chopped green chilly 1 cup tomato puree 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red chilly powder 1 tbsp amchur 1 tbsp oil salt to taste For garnishing: 1 tsp- home made butter 2-3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves 1/4 tsp finely sliced ginger slice of a lemon

What can be better, when you dreamed of a chocolate cake and you get that first thing in the morning.. Deadly combination of hot strong coffee and a chocolate cake and that too rain outside in January.. Wowww!!! Will share the recipe soon. Let me just Enjy it's taste fr smtime.. Love.
