NEW LIFE OF MOM

I love my ma.. Who doesn't? This valentine week, I am celebrating with my sweet cute loving mom. Today on Rose Day, I gave a rose from my garden to her, and my Dad got jealous.. he then got a big bouquet and presented to her. I loved and enjoyed his jealousy. I am soo happy and feeling amazing. Tomorrow is my parent's 27th Wedding Anniversary. I wish them my best wishes and may they get lot of happiness in their life. And love between them keeps on growing.. Happy Anniversary to my most adorable couple. They love, they fight, they care, they share, they get envy and yet they can't live without each other. My dad keeps asking mom to go and live with her mom for 2 months, and if she does it then he'll get her choice of diamond set.. this he is saying from last 22 years and she got no diamond set for this.. I'm planning for making breakfast date for them tomorrow.. Abhinav gave me this idea.. I hope mom dad also likes it.. Love you soooo much.

So finally the weekend is here.. I anxiously wait for Friday so much, and I am sure everyone else also. There is something very special about Friday and Saturday. So, What is the plan for tonight? I will share one of my fav. recipe with all of you. Its not something unique for Indians, specially North Indians but I have given it my own twist. This is Rajma-Chawal or you can say it Kidney Beans with Gravy and Rice. 3/4 cup rajma (kidney beans) 1/4 cup whole urad dal (black gram) 1 1/2 cups steamed basmati chawal (Rice) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) 1 small stick of dalchini (cinnamon stick) 1-2 bay leaves 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 tbsp finely chopped ginger 1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic 1 to 2 chopped green chilly 1 cup tomato puree 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red chilly powder 1 tbsp amchur 1 tbsp oil salt to taste For garnishing: 1 tsp- home made butter 2-3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves 1/4 tsp finely sliced ginger slice of a lemon ...
